The 21st BGA Championship

2011 marks the 21st gathering of the Bro Golf Association. This 21st Championship will be held in San Diego, California the final weekend of June. Early indication is that as many as seven previous champions will be in this year's field batling with alleged particpant reining champ, Dave Connel, who is also know as: DNA, Really--that guy won last year, MIA or The Help. The only word anyone has heard from The Champ is that he will be playing thsi year. Other than that he has been as silent as Shields & Yarnel, as invisible as Wonder Woman's airplane and as loud as a Fat Gerald quife.

The past year marked an unprecidented second consecutive year wherein the BGA Champion went completely silent immediately following and leading up to the tournament. Long gone are the days of  having a compelling champion. The love 'em or hate 'em types like Gunner who would try to draft an email to share his thoughts. No matter how unintelligible there was always an aire of superiority.

One huge question surrounding this year's tournament is whether the days of glorious champions is simply a thing of the past? To thjis end, there appears to be a growing contingent  of supporters yearning for Holman to make a Jack Niclausesque resurgence. In fact there is a website devoted to the idle mussings of Bro's who have been compelled, and in some cases, obsessed with thinking about how great it would be to crown Holman champ one more time.
